Sneak peek....

Here's a sneak peek of my latest sunflower inspired project.  

I had an idea to use SVGCuts Watering Can project included in the Green Thumb SVG Kit and make it look metal and distressed.  But I also wanted flowers on the can that looked faded so I used Tim Holtz Wallflower printed vellum and decoupaged it to my pattern pieces prior to glueing them together.  Then I added Tim Holtz distressing powders, black distressed ink and Brushed Pewter Paint to add a rusted effect and make it look more metal.  So far I'm happy with how this is coming together.  Next, for the flowers that go inside....stay tuned for more.....

The original inspiration for this project is from a photograph I was admiring from Home is Where the Boat Is blog.  I just love her photos!
